MEMORISE: Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Phlippians 4:5
READ Romans 15:1-3
- We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
-
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
-
For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Nehemiah 7-8; Acts 3:1-26
MESSAGE: Nowadays, people dress anyhow under the guise of being comfortable. If you are comfortable, what about the people seeing you, are they comfortable?.
Apostle Paul said he would rather not eat meat if it would make his brother fall (Romans 14:15). It is so sad that there is no difference between the dressing of those who go to church and those who don’t know God at all.
How can you buy jean trousers and then take scissors and tear it, then you say it is crazy jeans?. How can a normal person wear crazy jeans?, Why not leave the crazy dressing for crazy people?.
Some teens dress to please their friends; they wear what is in vogue without considering whether it is godly or not because they want to be seen as fashionable. This shouldn’t be. Jesus should be seen in your dressing.
Your dressing says a lot about you. If you are truly born again, it will reflect in the way you dress because when you wear something revealing, the Holy Spirit will condemn it and you will not have peace until you change it. Quality products are not displayed cheaply. Cover up!
KEY POINT: It is better to be out of vogue than to be out of the Vine.
