Open Heaven For Teens 10 August 2022 Message
In todays Bible reading, a comparison is made between outward and inward adornment. The outward adornment is corruptible while the inward is incorruptible. Also, the outward adornment is about the body, that is, the kind of clothes, jewellery, hair-do/hair-style, make-up, shoes et cetera, while the inward one is about the soul – that is, ones character.
Unfortunately, young people focus and spend so much on their appearance from clothing to make-up, accessories et cetera, yet are haggard on the inside.My dear, physical beauty is good but spiritual beauty is better. There is no crime in being handsome or beautiful.
There’s also no harm in dressing gorgeously but it is way better to pay more attention on your inward adornment. Work on your character, engage in spiritual exercises such as fasting, praying and meditating on Gods word.
The interesting thing is, when you pay more attention to your inner beauty, it will reflect on the outward appearance. If you are beautiful inwardly, you will be beautiful outwardly. Outer beauty without the corresponding character is vanity.
