The Power of Praise(3)
by Rev. (Dr) Lizzy Johnson-Suleman
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 25-27
TEXT: But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches.
2 King 3 :15-16.
There are so many in exhaustible benefits in praising God. Praise opens you to the voice of God, to solutions out of problems. When Elisha needed to find a solution to a national problem, he asked for a minstrel and as the minstrel played, the hand of the Lord came upon him and he said, “Thus saith the LORD” 2 Kings 3 :15-16.
Praise opens you to revelations which are the secrets of acceleration in the kingdom. Your praise brings you to His presence where secrets are revealed, where light is shed on scriptures, where the logos translates to Rhema, where you draw waters out of the wells of salvation.
Praise preserves you and prolongs your days. It fertilizers your hope and keeps it going strong. The Psalmist said, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul… hope thou in God;” for I shall yet praise Him…” Psa. 42 :11. Only the living can praise the Lord, the dead cannot. So when you are a praiser, doing what God cannot do for Himself, God is committed to preserving you to carry on with that task.
Beloved, truly the power of praise cannot be quantified. God is saying to you today, “Cultivate the habit of praising me, and your blessings testimonies, breakthroughs cannot be totaled.” It is bound to flow on.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to praise, I cultivate the right attitude of praise.
