TOPIC: Fire, the Answer
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Acts 25-26
TEXT: And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the Lord hath spoken it. Obadiah 1 :18.
Omega Fire Ministries Devotional 10th February 2021 Message:
In this dispensation where evil is disguised as good, injustice popularly accepted, poverty, diseases, affliction and oppression, the order of the day, servants riding on horses and prince’s walking as servants, gross wickedness displayed with total impunity, the answer is FIRE.
If you are not a fire, you maybe fired. This is different from being a carrier of fire. When you are a fire, you command fire at will and it responds. You operate as the son of God, a god on the earth. You are the express image of your Father, who is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12 :29).
Elijah’s head would have been chopped off and used for mockery but because he was a fire, he understood the dimension of fire and was absolutely in charge. They came to arrest him but he took charge and declared to the captain of fifty, “… If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty” (2 Kings 1 :10).
He would have kept on consuming all the captains and their fifties if one of them had not beseeched him to spare their lives. And it was a double portion of Elijah’s spirit that John the Baptist came with but he was mute, waiting probably for Jesus to rescue him and a little girl was programmed to take off his head.
I pray for you today – you will not lose your fire identity.
PRAYER.
My Father! My Father! As I pray now, make me a fire.
