Secrets of Great Men

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 52-53
TEXT: “And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.”
Genesis 7 :5.
When you study the lives of great men in scriptures who stood out and were outstanding from others, one common secret about them is total obedience.
In every command God gave them, they carried out every detail absolutely obeying all the Lord commanded.
The key word I want to emphasis on is “All”. They obeyed all the command and as such stood out.
Deuteronomy 28 :1; emphasized this saying, “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.”
Also in Joshua 1 :8; God speaks of this, saying, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Men who give themselves to total obedience are always known to stand out. It does not matter what comes up against them or the temporary discomfort they go through in such obedience, they are sure to reveal God’s glory because they chose to please God, the Maker of men by obeying Him unconditionally.
Child of God, if you can make a decision today to obey God in all things despite the circumstance, God will announce you to your world.
By “All”, it means in offering, tithe, praise, worship, studying, praying, honour and respect for others etc. as God commands.
May God, grant you understanding in Jesus name.
PRAYER.
My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me by your Spirit to obey you in all things.
