Born to Reign (2)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Thess. 4-5

TEXT: And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: And we shall reign on the earth. Revelation 5:10.

What a joy to know that we are born to reign, that we represent God on the earth! But to reign indeed, there are certain kingdom lifestyles that are expected of us. To be deficient in them is to be swallowed up by the world’s system. But when we live as such, our god-nature (Psalms 82 :6) and dominion is established on earth.

To reign therefore, we must:

1. Be Holy: Flee wickedness. “It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness : for the throne is established by righteousness” (Proverbs 16 :12). “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14 :34).

2. Be grounded in the Word (Acts 19:20): God’s word in us determines our deign on the earth. “If he called them god’s, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken” (John 10 :35).

3. Operate By Faith: The kingdom life operates by faith and not by sight. (2 Cor. 5 :7 – 8).

4. Be in the Spirit: To remain connected to our source and be led, we must be in the spirit (Rev. 1 :10, Rom. 8:14). Praying, fasting and studying of God’s Word empower us to be in the Spirit.

5. Walk in Love: Love is the hall mark of Christianity. To reign on the earth, we must walk in love. Love conquers the world’s system and puts you in charge (John 13 :34).

I see you reigning already.

PRAYER.
My Father! My Father! As I pray now, whatever fights my reigning, be destroyed by fire.
