Truth Prevails (2)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ezekiel 9-10
TEXT: “And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father, And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob’s heart fainted, for he believed them not.” – Genesis 45 :25 – 26.
In Genesis 37, Jacob’s ten sons conspired and told him all a lie that his beloved son Joseph had been eaten up by wild beast. Gen. 45 :31 – 34.
These ten sons watched their father, an elderly man mourning over his son who is still alive somewhere, yet their conscience did not pick them because of their wicked heart set to undo a destiny. They took off the son he sends on an errand, who gives him honest report, not caring the consequences on Jacob their father because of their selfish interest.
And as he mourned, weeping over his son, they were even among those comforting him, but he would not, vs 35. For several years they kept that lie, nourished that lie in words and action and they made their father lived in grief for such length of time. To him Joseph was no more.
Are there not situations in your life that the lies around your life seem to be dragging on and the truth seems to be delaying? In this circumstance, you know a lie was said about you which you have even suffered from, but still the truth is yet to surfaced. Listen, that is even better than Jacob’s case who never knew that the situation he was suffering for was a lie. But hear me, however the lie that was told, however the sufferings and the delay, the truth will break forth like a dream. God will orchestrate something that will reveal the truth and another testimony will spring forth in your life.
The same Jacob that they told a lie was the same person they came to with another report of good. Not only was his son Joseph still alive, but he was the governor over all the land of Egypt. I prophesy over you life, you still celebrate an overwhelming victory over every lie.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive another testimony of victory over every lie.
