The Presence of the Lord

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 40-41
TEXT: “But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” Genesis 39 :21.

The presence of God with a man is the significant difference in his life. No matter what is denied to you, if you still have the presence of God, you have not lost anything because you will recover all. Mr Potiphar and Mrs. Potiphar thought they took it all from Joseph; they thought they had denied him all and had put him in a place of limitation. They never knew that what stood him out in their home which made he (Potiphar) to give him preference is still with him, and with that he could become much more than what he initially was in their home. No wonder, in the prison, the presence of God still stood him out and he was preferred by the keeper of the prison.
Scripture says, “And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, The LORD made it to prosper.” VS 22 & 23.
Child of God, guard jealously the presence of the Lord in your life. Whatever it takes to stay connected to God, give attention to it. It is the presence of God with a man that, akes a wilderness becomes a fruitful field and a prison a palace. That was why Moses emphatically stated, “… If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” (Exod. 33 :15).And when the presence of the Lord went with them, they were distinguished from other nations.
I pray for you, you will not lose His presence.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, let your presence ever be with me.
