Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus(6)
by Apostle Johnson Suleman

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 2 Cor. 4-6

TEXT: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12 :2

OFM Rhema for Living Daily Devotional 25th February 2021 Message:

The word of God says in Matthew 7:1-4 “Judge not, that ye be judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?”

Jesus was a perfect example of How God wants His children to behave towards one another as regards the scriptures above.

Jesus never judged or condemned anyone. He corrects them in love and tells them not to sin anymore. He displays the love of the father in everything.

In John 8, the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery, in the very act and they set her in the midst stating the law of Moses to Jesus tempting Him that they might have to accuse Him. But Jesus whose nature was not to judge or condemned others stooped down and with his fingers wrote on the ground as though he heard them not.

When they continued asking him, he said to them, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her”.

And they all left beginning at the eldest. Jesus said to the woman, “Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She replied,” No man, LORD. And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more”. Vs 3 – 11.

May God grant you understanding.

PRAYER.
My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive grace to walk in your footsteps.
