BIBLE READING:Â 2 Kings 4-6
TEXT: “Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?’ He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary … But they that wait they that upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” Isah. 40 :28.
OFM Rhema For Living 17 April 2023 MESSAGE: In the waiting room of the Lord, you stay focus, you wait, stay where God asks you to stay. You keep the connection line on because whenever Jesus is taking time, he is up to something. When you are in the waiting room of the Lord, you don’t grow weary, because your strength is renewed by God. He does not allow you to faint because the aim of the waiting is not to destroy you, it is to train you for another level of glory 2 Cor. 3 :18.
Many wait because they cannot do anything to get what they desire, but they are not in the waiting room of the Lord. When you are in the waiting room of the Lord, you know it’s for another level of glory. Hebrews 12 :11. “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, bit grievous: nevertheless afterward it yielded the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby”.
No waiting seems pleasurable, but like students preparing for exams, we know that without passing the exams we cannot be moved to the next class. Without that challenge, you can’t move to the next level. So like a good student, settle down to understand the training for the next level. 2 Cor. 4 :18; “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal”.
That situation will not last, it is just for a while. The waiting is for a moment. So wait and testify.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive grace to wait and not faint.
