BIBLE READING:Â Psalms 4-6
TEXT: “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zech. 4 :6
OFM Rhema For Living 10th June 2023 MESSAGE: Life experiences would have made you known at this point in time that victory in life is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord. If it is by might, the physically strong, macho men would have been the wealthiest, most successful and most famous men. The feeble looking and fragile ones would have been defeated, trampled upon and be the debased ones.
With this understanding, the Psalmist declares, giving glory to God. “If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; if it had not been the LORD who was on our side,” Psalm 124.
To make your efforts count and prevail over challenges of life is by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit is the one who leads and directs the believer on the path of victory.
He gives direction on what should be done, how it should be done and when and even with whom it should be done. His leading is what makes believers to exercise their sonship as children of God. Without the Holy Spirit, one’s sonship is questionable, because it takes divine direction which unfolds the prevailing wisdom of God through His voice to win in all circumstances of life.
He quickens your mortal body making you operate as the supernatural being that you are living above all forms of sicknesses, weaknesses and diseases. He lives the power of God through you, empowering you to do good works. Acts 10 :38.
Therefore, to stop suffering and start soaring in victory as sons of God, rely on the Holy Ghost for “by my Spirit saith the LORD of hosts”
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I make a fresh commitment to depend on your Spirit.
