TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Deuteronomy 9:3, NIV – “But be assured today that the LORD your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them; he will subdue them before you.”
TODAY’S WORD
The Israelites were standing at the Jordan River, contemplating whether to go into the Promised Land. Their parents had stood at that same place forty years earlier, but they talked themselves out of it for fear of the Anakites, who were descendants of giants, a strong and tall people. This was a critical moment. As they debated what to do, God gave them the promise in today’s Scripture. When they heard that, they changed their mindset. “This is not going to be difficult because God will go before us to take care of what’s trying to stop us.” They went in with boldness and defeated the Anakites.
You may be facing challenges that look overwhelming, but God is going to do for you what He did for them. He’s crossing over ahead of you right now so you can easily conquer. You’re going to see favor, breakthroughs, freedom, things that you couldn’t make happen. It’s the hand of God. One touch of God’s favor and suddenly giants come down, suddenly addictions are broken, suddenly doors open, and you see increase and abundance.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for the great promise that You are crossing over before me to subdue challenges that seem impossible. Thank You that I can have the boldness to move forward and conquer. I believe that You are about to quickly change things in my favor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
