TOPIC: A Strong East Wind
Today’s Scripture
Exodus 14:21, NLT – Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the LORD opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land.
Today’s Word
The nation of Israel was trapped at the Red Sea, with Pharaoh’s army about to recapture or kill them, when a strong east wind began to blow. That meant a storm was coming. They already had a big problem when dark clouds rolled in and thundered, lightning flashed, and debris was hurling through the air. This storm looked like it would kill them. What they didn’t realize was that the storm was sent by God to blow back the waters so they could go through on dry ground. The storm was a part of the miracle to not only bring them out but defeat their enemies.
Is the east wind blowing in your life? You’re asking God to help you, but it seems like the problem is getting worse. What you don’t realize is that another storm, another problem, can be what God uses to make a way through what looks like it’s going to defeat you. Suddenly your health turns around, suddenly that door opens, suddenly the right person shows up. Get ready. He’ll use the east wind to rescue you.
Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You control the winds, You part Red Seas of difficulties, and You bring me through. Thank You that You can take problems and use them to defeat what is coming against me. I believe and declare that I will trust You when the east wind begins to blow. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
