As the night settles in and the world grows quiet, I come before You with a heart that seeks rest—rest in Your truth, Your wisdom, and Your presence.
Today, I saw the rise and fall of many emotions—moments of pride, frustration, and perhaps even foolishness. Yet Your Word in Proverbs reminds me of the power of humility, the wisdom found in the small, and the strength in silence.
Lord, forgive me for the times I tried to exalt myself or allowed anger to stir within me. Teach me, even in the stillness of this night, to put my hand over my mouth when needed, to quiet the unrest in my spirit, and to walk in the kind of wisdom that brings peace—not strife.
I think of the ant that prepares, the lizard that finds its way into palaces, the lion that walks with confidence—each created by You with purpose and design. Remind me that I too have purpose, no matter how small or unseen I may feel.
Tonight, help me release every weight I carry:
Every regret, every unspoken word, every misstep.
Let me sleep not in anxiety, but in the assurance that You are still working, still guiding, still loving.
Cover me and those I love with Your protection.
Guard our hearts, our dreams, our homes.
And when morning comes, may I rise with renewed wisdom, gentle strength, and a heart anchored in Your truth.
In the peace of Christ, I lay down my soul.
