Morning Prayer for Today May 7, 2026 – Thursday | Living in the Power of the New Covenant
God’s promises are secured through a covenant established by sacrifice. Hebrews 9:16–17 (NLT) explains that a will only takes effect after death—pointing to the death of Christ, through which every promise of God becomes active and available to us. Because of Jesus, we now live in the fullness of what God has prepared.
As you begin today, this prayer will help you walk confidently in the inheritance and promises secured through Christ.
Powerful Morning Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the new covenant established through Jesus Christ. Because of His sacrifice, I have access to Your promises, Your grace, and Your eternal inheritance.
Lord, help me to live today with the awareness of what has already been secured for me. Let me not walk in doubt or limitation, but in the confidence of Your finished work.
Teach me to value the sacrifice of Christ and to live in alignment with the covenant You have given me. Strengthen my faith to receive all that You have made available—peace, righteousness, favor, and eternal life.
Let my life reflect gratitude, obedience, and trust in Your promises. Help me to walk boldly, knowing that I am part of Your divine plan and that my future is secure in You.
Today, I declare that I live under God’s covenant. The promises of God are active in my life. I walk in grace, I stand in faith, and I receive all that Christ has secured for me.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
