Morning Prayer for Today (January 25, 2026): Sunday – The Lord Is Our Sun and Shield
As a new day begins, God reminds us of who He is and what He provides. Psalm 84:11 declares a powerful promise:
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”
God is both our source of light and our protector. He gives grace for today and glory for the future. As you begin this morning, trust in His goodness, provision, and faithful protection.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this new morning and for being my sun and my shield. You are the light that guides my path and the protection that surrounds my life. I trust You to lead me in truth and guard me from harm.
Thank You for Your grace that sustains me and Your glory that fills my hope. Help me to walk uprightly before You, honoring You in my thoughts, words, and actions. Teach me to trust that You withhold no good thing from those who follow You.
Father, shine Your light over every area of my life today. Cover me with Your protection and let Your goodness be evident in all I do. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
