Morning Prayer for Today (August 18, 2025) – Choosing Peace and Trusting God’s Justice
Each morning brings opportunities to live in harmony with others and to reflect the peace of Christ. A morning prayer for today reminds us that while we may not control how others act, we can choose to walk in love, peace, and forgiveness. Romans 12:18–19 encourages us to live peaceably with all and to leave vengeance in God’s hands. When we begin the day with this perspective, we carry less bitterness and more joy, trusting the Lord to fight our battles.
Scripture for Today’s Morning Prayer
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.” – Romans 12:18–19 (NIV)

Powerful Morning Prayer for Today
Righteous Father,
Thank You for the blessing of this new day. Your Word teaches me to live at peace with everyone, as far as it depends on me. Lord, help me to be an instrument of peace today—slow to anger, quick to forgive, and eager to build bridges instead of walls.
Guard my heart from bitterness and resentment. When I am wronged, remind me that vengeance belongs to You alone. Teach me to release offense and trust that You are my defender. Let my words and actions reflect Your love so that others may see Christ in me.
I declare that today I walk in peace, I choose forgiveness, and I trust You to handle every battle I face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Short Morning Prayer for Strength and Guidance
Lord, fill me with Your peace today. Help me forgive quickly, love deeply, and trust You to defend me in all things. Amen.
