MFM DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 4 MARCH 2025 – MESSAGE
Another mystery of divine prescriptions is that it helps believers to win life’s complex battles and to defeat enemies that are formidable and intimidating. God uses few soldiers to defeat many when the few are fortunate to get His prescription and follow it to the letter.
The Israelites had to fight hard against Jericho to enter and possess the Promised Land. Though God had given the land of Canaan to them, they still needed to confront, fight and conquer Jericho that stood as enemy, opposition and stumbling block to their ambition. The ruler of Jericho and his people understood warfare and military strategies. They built a very formidable wall round about their city.
It was impregnable and they felt so secure. Joshua cried to God in desperate prayers and the Captain of the Lord’s hosts appeared to him physically. He gave Joshua the divine prescription for demolishing the wall of Jericho. Again, the description sounded ridiculous. Yet it was heaven’s strategy that cannot fail. The children of Israel were to march round the fortified walls of Jericho for seven days and make a loud noise on the last day of their marching, then the wall of Jericho would fall down flat.
Joshua was a man of faith. He communicated the message of God to the Israelites and they carried out the divine prescription with military precision. Behold, the wall of Jericho came crashing down. It fell flat like a pack of cards!
The second case in point was the life-threatening experience of King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20. Five allied nations had camped to wage war against Judah. In numerical strength and military might, Jehoshaphat knew they stood no chance with the enemy forces that had come against them.
The king cried to God, saying, “O God, we know not what to do; our eyes are on you.” God spoke through a prophet and gave them His prescription or strategy to win the battle. It was a strange and simple prescription. The people of Judah were to carry their musical instruments and sing praises to God, saying, “The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.”
MFM DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 4 MARCH 2025 – PRAYER POINTS:
𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆
1. O God, arise and give me the prescription to win the complex battles in my life, in the name of Jesus.
2. O God of Elijah by Your mercy, arise and help me as You helped Joshua to demolish the walls of Jericho, in the name of Jesus.
3. O God of Elijah, arise and help me to defeat satanic gang-up as You did for Jehoshaphat of Judah, in the name of Jesus.
𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆
4. O God, give me the grace to value and obey Your prescriptions, no matter how simple or strange they may sound, in the name of Jesus.
5. I bind and cast out any spirit that is assigned to make me blind or deaf to God’s prescriptions, in the name of Jesus.
6. O God, increase my faith and let Your prescriptions birth signs and wonders in my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. My life become a magnet for God’s favour and miracle. In the name of Jesus.
