Martha and Mary
38 While they were traveling, he entered a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. 39 She had a sister named Mary, who also sat at the Lord’s feet and was listening to what he said.
40 But Martha was distracted by her many tasks, and she came up and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? So tell her to give me a hand.”
41 The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.”

MFM Devotional Thursday 6th March 2025 MESSAGE:
The Christian race can only be exciting, effective and rewarding when we maintain the right balance in our relationship with the Lord. In the Scripture, it has been revealed that God delights in us having a solid relationship with Him above any other activity. God desires communion with us. Unfortunately, a lot of secondary engagements have taken the place of that vital relationship which is our springboard to all that the Lord has saved us to be.
In our Fire Scripture for today, Jesus Christ, as He visited a certain village, was received by Martha, the sister of Mary. As it was customary with Jesus, who would have attracted a large number of people into that household, He seized the opportunity to preach the Word of Life, the gospel of the Kingdom, to those present.
Interestingly, while this sacred assignment was going on, Mary sat at the feet of the Master, listening with rapt attention, assimilating the Word of power and redemption. Martha, on the other hand, was engrossed with secular activity, thinking she was pleasing the Master. She even had the audacity to challenge Jesus whom she felt was indulging Mary, her sister.
You can deduce the most essential need of every heavenly minded believer in the response of Jesus to Martha, who had been so distracted and preoccupied with unnecessary service like many Christians today. In Martha and Mary, we have the two models of involvement with the Master. The service-oriented believer, as encapsulated by Martha, and the relationship-oriented believer, as portrayed by Mary.
Jesus has taught us that solid relationship with God is the indisputable way of experiencing the glory of God. You need to understand that there is a great difference between working for God and walking with God. God wants you to walk with Him. Are you walking with Him?
Do you have a solid relationship with the Almighty or are you engaging in activities that are preventing you from entering into the fullness of the Almighty?

MORNING
1. O Lord, I thank You for another day of glory and blessings, in the Name of Jesus.
2. O Lord, lay Your hand upon me and deliver me from any power assigned to waste my life, in the Name of Jesus.
3. Holy Spirit of God, overshadow my life and my family, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Holy Ghost fire, purge my life of every defilement, in the Name of Jesus.
5. My Father, reposition me for a rewarding relationship with You, in the Name of Jesus.
6. Power of satanic distraction, release me and die, in the Name of Jesus.
7. I soak my entire life in the blood of Jesus, in the Name of Jesus.
