MFM Daily Devotional 5th July 2026 Message:
Yesterday, we discussed the Moravian Brothers who had a century long prayer watch and were running a prayer shifts 24 hours a day and this intercession birthed the 18th
Century evangelical revival.
The Moravian Brothers were part of the Moravian Church, a protestant denomination Founded by count Zinzendorf in 1722, and the group was known for their prayer and intercession. They were committed to praying 24 hours round the face of the clock. Their focus was on Intercession for the lost, revival, and the spread of the gospel.
Their other focus was also on unity and fellowship. They emphasised the importance of harmony and Fellowship among believers, often gathering for prayer, worship and
communion. 1727, the Moravian Brothers began a prayer meeting that lasted 100 years with at least one brother praying one hour every day. This continuous prayer meeting was a powerful expression of their commitment to intercession and it played a significant role in the evangelical revival of the 18th century.
Dearly beloved, if you look very critically at the Fire Scripture of today, Abraham stood between God and Sodom and Gomorrah, pleading and interceding for mercy so that the
righteous would not be destroyed with the sinners. He started from 50 souls and stopped at 10 souls and unfortunately even ten souls could not be found in that land, and where
Abraham stopped, God also stopped listening.
God is looking for intercessors that will not stop interceding until God’s purpose is fulfilled on the earth. God wants those that will be so committed to intercession that the trajectory of history and of the people will be changed for the glory of God to show forth and everything will go back to what it is supposed to
be
In Daniel 10:0-15, Prophet Daniel set his face to wait on the Lord by interceding for the Israelites, end the captivity they found themselves in? He was interceding for them, and for twenty one days, he was on his knees without food and expecting to hear from God. God released answers the very first day he started praying, but the Prince of the Kingdom of Persia withstood angel Gabriel. If Daniel had not continued in his intercession, he wouldn’t have got an answer to his prayer request.

1. O Lord, pass through Your church and let Your glory manifest, in the name of Jesus.
2. I break satanic powers in the heavenly places, on land, and in the waters, in the name of Jesus.
3. O Lord, let all the impossible begin to become possible for me, in the name of Jesus.

4. O Lord, show Yourself strong in the affairs of my nation, in the name of Jesus.
5. Darkness, remove your hands from the affairs of my country, in the name of Jesus.
6. Let all my blessings that the enemy has swallowed be vomited, in the name of Jesus.
7. Every spirit that makes me to fail at the edge of miracles, die, in the name of Jesus.
