My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalms 89:20-34 (KJV)

20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

MFM Devotional 18th February 2025 (Tuesday) MESSAGE:

One of the problems of many people today is their inability to stay true to their words. In contrast, God is ever true to His words. He is a covenant keeping God. He will never violate His covenant with His Church or with His people. What is a covenant? A covenant is an agreement, a pact, or a contract between two parties.

In the Holy Scripture, there are lots of covenants between God and His people, both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. Some covenants were made directly with some individuals. The covenant of God centres mostly on His divine promises to His people with regard to provision, protection, healing, deliverance, companionship, fruitfulness, longevity, promotion, prosperity, sound health, defence, greatness, comfort, generational blessings, security, favour, mercy, goodness, enduement with power and many others.

In reality, there is a particular covenant for every situation you find yourself or any challenge that confronts you. Our confidence booster is that our God keeps His covenant faithfully and brings it to pass. However, we must also stay true to Him.

In our Fire Scripture, we see the Almighty God making a trans-generational covenant with King David with the assurance that He would never break His covenant nor change anything that is gone out of His lips. Our God is surely a covenant keeping God. Therefore, be rest assured that everything He has declared concerning your situation will definitely come to pass, in Jesus’ name.

Are you feeling lonely? His Word to you is, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5). Are you passing through a turbulent challenge of any kind? His covenant with you is, “When thou passes! through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee” (Isaiah 43:2).

I encourage you to stand strong and be expectant for the covenant keeping God will usher you into that long-awaited testimony very soon, in Jesus’ name.

MFM Devotional 18th February 2025 (Tuesday) PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. O Lord, I thank You because You are the covenant keeping God, in the name of Jesus.
2. Strange covenant challenging the manifestation of my glory, scatter by fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Ancient covenant of my father’s house, saying I will not go far in life, die, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. I claim every good thing made available to me through the word of God, in the name of Jesus.
5. I stand on the covenant of the word of God, and I proclaim victory over the powers of wickedness, in the name of Jesus.
6. By the blood of Jesus, I blot out every ordinance and handwriting of darkness against me, in the name of Jesus.
7. I nullify every evil covenant upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
