Matthew 26:41 – “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Temptation is not a sin, but yielding to it is.

MFM DEVOTIONAL 15 MARCH 2025 (SATURDAY) MESSAGE
Temptation is an enticement to do something bad. It is a pull to succumb to satanic pressure and to veer off the path of decency. Temptation is a strong invitation from the devil to an individual to swim in the ocean of sin and iniquity. Temptation is as old as humanity. The very first temptation in this world happened in the Garden of Eden when the serpent tempted Eve with the forbidden fruit.
She fell with her husband into the abyss of shame and condemnation because of their failure to overcome that temptation. Right from that time, temptation has become a potent instrument in the hand of the devil to mess up people’s lives.
Beloved, you need to understand that temptation can come in any form and from any quarter, from anyone and at any time, even when you think you are spiritually balanced and standing tall in the spirit. That is the reason the Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 10:12, “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”
Temptation is a cruel reality of our days. That you are reading the Bible, studying and meditating on the Word does not rule out the possibility of temptation. That you embark on marathon fasting and prayer does not mean you cannot be tempted. Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, faced the fiercest temptation of His life immediately after He finished forty days’ marathon fasting.
The Bible says, “And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered. And when the tempter came to him…” (Matthew 4:2-3).
It is still a mystery to me that the tempter came with his temptation to the Master when the fire of the Spirit of God would have been massively ignited in His life. Glory to God, the Lord overcame the three-fold temptation hurled at Him by the enemy of our souls.
I pray that whenever the tempter comes against you, the Lord will give you the strength to overcome, in the name of Jesus.

𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆
1. Arrows of temptation assigned against me, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers seeking for a convenient time to strike me, be disappointed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Holy Spirit of God, convert my weakness to strength, in the name of Jesus.

4. East wind of God, arise and blow off every agent of temptation assigned against me, in the name of Jesus.
5. Arrow of lust from witchcraft coven, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. My inner man, receive fresh fire, in the name of Jesus.
7. Grace that is sufficient to overcome, fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.
