MFM Daily Devotional 18th October 2023 Message:
Every wise believer should seek spiritual progress. When spiritual growth and progress are lacking, stagnancy will set in and decay will follow.
Wisdom and greatness, although admirable and highly desirable qualities are insufficient in themselves to guarantee spiritual progress and stability. We must walk in daily dependence upon God-or else, like Solomon, we will fall and fail.
God had favoured Solomon so much. Not minding the sins of his parents and the circumstances of his birth, God chose him to succeed his father, David, as the king of Israel. It was divine preference and election. Not long after he became king, Solomon offered a generous offering to God in gratitude and worship. God was impressed and He visited Solomon in his dream, telling him to mention anything he would like to have.
Solomon asked for wisdom to lead God’s people successfully. God gave him wisdom and added riches and honour as no other king before him ever had.

Henceforth, Solomon began to enjoy wisdom, riches and greatness extraordinarily. Though these are very good gifts from God, they do not automatically produce spiritual growth, progress and stability.
The first secret of spiritual growth, progress and stability lies in our being genuinely born again.
The second lies in living in complete obedience to God’s Word.
The third lies in walking in daily dependence upon God. Heed the Bible’s admonition that you trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Solomon’s life and reign were glorious as long as he lived a life of daily dependence on God and complete obedience. However, when his love for foreign women and strange gods drew his heart away from God, he lost his spiritual standing, fell and failed abysmally.
I pray that the enemy will not write the last chapter of your life. You will not be derailed; you will end well, in the Name of Jesus.

MORNING
1. Every evil path that swallowed my parents and is now seeking my attention, receive confusion in the Name of Jesus.
2. My life will glorify God, in the Name of Jesus.
3. Anointing of excellence, overshadow my destiny, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. My spiritual antenna, be purged by fire to receive heavenly revelations, in the Name of Jesus.
5. O God, please do not let me fail You, in the Name of Jesus.
6. Every evil covenant and curse assigned to make me offend God, be nullified by the blood of Jesus, in the Name of Jesus.
7. Holy Spirit, give me clean hands and a pure heart, in the Name of Jesus.
