MFM Daily Devotional March 24, 2025 MESSAGE
In this kingdom, who hates you does not matter, but who loves you matters a lot. Psalm 115:16 says, “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.” Beloved, men are so powerful that even our Almighty God does nothing on earth but by men’s efforts.
All blessings come from God to men through men. So, no matter how powerful and skillful you think you are, you need fellow men to thrive in the scheme of life; hence, the need to build quality relationships.
Esau lacked relationship skills. He got career skills but refused to acquire skills in human management. He didn’t have quality relationships with his family members and those around him. He had not been an obedient child even to the point of getting married, still carrying his parents along and acting against their wish.
No wonder his mother never seemed to be on his side. He probably felt he could do life alone and do his thing his own way. After all, it was his life. He later found out too late that relationships matter a lot.
Jacob seems to be the lazy one, but he had learned to build relationships, especially with his mother. How? Through obedience and submissiveness.
This is not saying that we should put our trust in man, but it is saying we should learn to manage the people around us, including the difficult ones. So many Christians lack skills in human management. Some believers believe that God is the only personality they need in life; they do not need any man to succeed. That’s a big lie; don’t buy it. You need God and human helpers to fulfill your destiny.
Even if you have acquired professional skills, you need human beings to buy and pay for your skills. Don’t forget that all blessings come from God to men through man. God will not come down to do certain things for us. He will need to send men to deliver the needed blessing. That is why we must pray and enforce the release of every human entity that should partner with God to bring forth our blessings.
The children of the world understand this principle so well, even Jesus attested to it in Luke 16:8: “For the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” These people have mastered the art of relationship building.
There are Christians that do not relate with anybody. They are so spiritual that they don’t greet or answer greetings. They are so isolated, and the only personality that matters to them is God. They are what we know as “12 o’clock Christians”; all attention is focused on heaven, no dealings with any man. Such a man will surely get to heaven but would have cheated and shortchanged himself on earth.
Abraham, our hero, was a friend of God but also got along well with the people around him. No wonder he was never turned down on any of his requests from them. May God open our inner eyes, in the name of Jesus.
