MFM Daily Devotional (February 10, 2025), MONDAY MESSAGE:
Today, beloved, we will look at the secrets of fruitfulness. The biggest secrets of a fruitful life are to give your life to Christ and to remain in Him. Our Fire Scripture today makes it clear that if we do not abide in the Lord, Jesus, we cannot be fruitful because, on our own, we cannot do nothing. It is not enough to say that you are born again.
Are you really living your life according to the words of the Master? Are you actually abiding in Him? What does it mean to abide? To abide means to continue to stay, to remain, not shifting ground. Meaning that you have decided to allow the Lord to control your life, and you are not changing that decision.
Luke 9:62 says that no one who puts his hand on the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God. He is the vine and we are the branches. No branch can survive on its own let alone bear fruit except it remains in the vine. If you read that Scripture further down, you would discover the promise that we will not only bear fruit but much fruit, which will remain and our joy will be full if we abide in Him.
You can see that it is indeed crucial for anyone who wants to bear fruits abundantly to abide in the Lord. Quitting or abandoning the way of the Lord will cause you to be barren. Quite a couple of women in the Bible were barren but all of them except one ended up bearing glorious seeds because they did not quit.
These were Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, Hannah, the wife of Manoah, the mother of Samson, and the Shunammite woman. They kept abiding in God, not giving up on Him. Only one died barren; that was Michal, the daughter of Saul and the wife of David, because she despised God in her heart. She was not abiding in the Lord.
MFM Daily Devotional (February 10, 2025) Prayer Points:
MORNING
- Any power pushing me into barrenness, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- 0 Lord, make me a continuation of Your kingdom on earth, in the name of Jesus.
- I refuse to die barren by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- O Lord, fill me afresh and let me never run dry in You, in the name of Jesus.
- The staying power to abide in my Lord, come upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
- I shall not be a walking corpse by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that no matter what, my life shall be fruitful, in the name of Jesus.
