MFM Daily Devotional 9th May 2021 Outline
Brokenness is when you give free access to the Holy Spirit into every area of your life, allowing Him to take total control. It is when you empty yourself totally. It is surrendering your totality to Christ. It is to be completely emptied of pride, to joyfully accept your fault and to restitute when necessary.
The spirit of brokenness is to remain calm in the face of provocation. It is to let go and let God have His way in your life. It is the spirit of self-denial and being sacrificed on the altar of God. It is the ability to hate sin with perfect hatred. It is inner transformation! It is also to put others first. It deals with the self in you and breaks every “I, me and mine syndrome”, which is the manifestation of the flesh.
Remember the Bible says those who work in the flesh cannot please God. A broken Christian honestly rejoices with someone who has been promoted, even when he is not, and says sorry even when he is the one that is being hurt. The spirit of brokenness is simply the spirit of humility and meekness, the spirit of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour (Gal. 5:22-24).
Many Christians are powerless today because they lack the spirit of brokenness. Without brokenness, beloved, you cannot receive spiritual power. God will not pour His anointing on the head of a goat, a dog or a pig. Goats represent group of human beings that are destructive and very stubborn. Dogs are considered to be those that will always go back to their vomit.
They find it very easy to backslide, while pigs are destructive, dirty and feed easily on anything that comes their way. The anointing, which is the power of God, is for the lamb and doves, who are symbolic of gentle and humble believers. Jesus Christ is referred to as the “Lamb of God” and not “as goat”. God wants and counts on Christians who are broken and have contrite hearts (Psalm 51:17).
God is not impressed by your outward behaviour; rather, He considers your heart, your inward attitude and purity of heart. John 12:24 says a corn of wheat must fall to the ground and die before it can produce fruit.
You cannot produce fruits if you are not broken, and the Bible says a fruitless tree shall be cut down and thrown into fire. I pray you shall not be cut down and cast into fire, in Jesus’ name.

MORNING
1. Holy Spirit, I give you free access to every area of my life; take control in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. O Lord, empty me and fill me with your fullness, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Lord Jesus, visit me and shake away from me every entanglement of self, in the name of Jesus Christ.

4. Whatever is quenching the fire of God in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Spirit of the goat, loose your hold upon my spirit man. Come out and return no more, in the name of Jesus Christ.
6. I shall not go back to the world, in the name of Jesus Christ.
7. Lord Jesus, create in me a new heart and renew the right spirit within me, in the name of Jesus Christ.
