The word “focus” has been defined as the centre of interest or activity. It also means paying particular attention to something. From the biblical story of the creation of man, it has been established that God created man with great potential which should enable him accomplish great wonders in every sphere of life.
God never created man to fail. Beloved, you are created to be a brilliant performer, an accomplished achiever, an indomitable winner and a great personality soaring on the wings of divine possibilities.
Meanwhile, part of the gruesome agenda of the devil for man is to make him a perpetual object of failure and mockery by using the instrumentality of distraction against him. The devil has successfully stolen the power of focus of a lot of people.
Our Fire Scripture for today explains to us what lack of focus can cause anyone. As the servant was busy here and there, the prisoner was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, so shall thy judgement be: thyself has decided it (1 Kings 20:40).
A prisoner of war was placed under the watch of a soldier with the strict warning that if the prisoner should escape, his life would go for it. But the soldier lacked the power of focus; he was busy here and there and could not carry the assignment through to a glorious end.
Beloved, what I mean is that many people with great dreams, powerful visions, astounding potential, sound knowledge and superlative endowments are failing in life because they lack the power of focus. Great athletes have lost their chances of be crowned winners because of momentary loss of focus.
Many great destinies and unique opportunities have been wasted because of the lack of the power of focus. You need to know that for you to excel in life, accomplish your set goals, realise your dreams and be outstanding in your chosen career, you need the power of focus.
However, it is the Spirit of Christ in the life of a man that bestows the power of focus. Do you have Jesus in your life? If not, ask Him to come into your life now.

MORNING
1. Thank You, Father, for giving me Your Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every dark arrow fired to confuse my life, backfire, in the name of Jesus.

4. O Lord my Father, make me an effective vessel in Your hand, in the name of Jesus.
5. Arrow of defilement, I am not your candidate, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
