So far, we have learned that righteousness has many amazing rewards and we have examined some of them. Let us learn more of the rewards today.

Righteousness promotes divine preservation. The soul of a saint is highly valuable to the Most High. That is why Proverbs 2:8b affirms that God preserves the paths of His saints. Your daily and consistent righteous lifestyle is the key to accessing and enjoying His preservation in these perilous last days.

One of the ways that the Lord preserves righteous children is by directing them and keeping their feet in His way, the path that is safe to His kingdom and glory. The way in which He keeps and directs them leads to everlasting life and none of them shall perish (1 Samuel 2:9).

In Psalm 125:1-2, the Bible assures, “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed but abideth forever. As the mountain surrounds Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even forever.” God’s Word also guarantees the preservation of the saints in Psalm 121:3-8.

God keeps a watchful guard over His righteous children and protects them from danger or evil. Since He has called us to be His light (Matthew 5:14), He will be the keeper of the lighthouse. Since He has called us to be His salt (Matthew 5:13), He will ensure that the salt does not lose His flavour. No one can stand against God. If He is our preserver, we can live courageously and triumphantly (Romans 8:31).

In the days of Noah, God was displeased with the human race because it wallowed in sin and wickedness. Though God decided to destroy the human race with flood, the Bible says that Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD (Genesis 6:6-8). The reason for this is that “Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God“(Genesis 6:9b). Therefore, God preserved Noah and his family.

He also used Noah as His purpose partner in building an ark and in preserving the remnants (men and animals). The same good Lord preserved Lot during the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Beloved, choose consistent righteous living and heaven will preserve you from all evil!

PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Father, thank you because You keep watch over Your righteous children, in the Name of Jesus.
2. Father, keep my feet in Your way. Let me not fall or fail, in the Name of Jesus.
3. God is my Preserver. I will live courageously and triumphantly, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. I declare that I am kept by the power of God, in the Name of Jesus.
5. Father, multiply Your grace towards me in this generation, in the Name of Jesus.
6. O God, as You found Noah useful in his generation, help me to be useful to your kingdom, in the Name of Jesus.
