TOPIC: Overcoming The Prince Of This World.
MEMORY VERSE: “Hereafter, I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” – John 14:30
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
“This is your moment of triumph; adversity shall soon pass away, and weakness shall soon depart. You shall not faint.”
PRAISE AND WORSHIP
PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
“You are a carrier of the power of God and a stainless container of the Holy Ghost. Therefore, the enemy shall not triumph over you, in the name of Jesus.”
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 14:1-15(NIV)
1 The Lord will have compassion on Jacob;
once again he will choose Israel
and will settle them in their own land.
Foreigners will join them
and unite with the descendants of Jacob.
2 Nations will take them
and bring them to their own place.
And Israel will take possession of the nations
and make them male and female servants in the Lord’s land.
They will make captives of their captors
and rule over their oppressors.
3 On the day the Lord gives you relief from your suffering and turmoil and from the harsh labor forced on you, 4 you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon:
How the oppressor has come to an end!
How his fury[a] has ended!
5 The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked,
the scepter of the rulers,
6 which in anger struck down peoples
with unceasing blows,
and in fury subdued nations
with relentless aggression.
7 All the lands are at rest and at peace;
they break into singing.
8 Even the junipers and the cedars of Lebanon
gloat over you and say,
“Now that you have been laid low,
no one comes to cut us down.”
9 The realm of the dead below is all astir
to meet you at your coming;
it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you—
all those who were leaders in the world;
it makes them rise from their thrones—
all those who were kings over the nations.
10 They will all respond,
they will say to you,
“You also have become weak, as we are;
you have become like us.”
11 All your pomp has been brought down to the grave,
along with the noise of your harps;
maggots are spread out beneath you
and worms cover you.
12 How you have fallen from heaven,
morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!
13 You said in your heart,
“I will ascend to the heavens;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.[b]
14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”
15 But you are brought down to the realm of the dead,
to the depths of the pit.
MFM Daily Devotional 22 June 2025: MESSAGE
It is rightly stated in scriptures that we are in this world but definitely not of the world. The devil, who is the prince of this world, knows this, and he struggles to see how we can be filled with the affairs of this world, so as to tarnish us and make us stink in the nostrils of the Almighty. The book of 1 John 2:15-17 clearly states what is in the world: the pride of life, the lust of the eyes, and the lust of the flesh. As a Christian, whoever gets hooked in all of these shall be wiped off with the world and its vanities.
The prince of this world entered into Judas’ heart, and Judas betrayed Jesus, thereby losing his glorious inheritance in the kingdom. Demas, who forsook Paul during their missionary journey, was also a victim of the prince of this world. Ananias and Sapphira, a couple who had the opportunity to enjoy the grace of God like other early Christians, died because of dishonesty and love of the world. Today, many are playing into the hands of the prince of this world, both in the corporate world and the church, in what we call boardroom politics, mainstream politics, as well as power and position struggles. Many have sold their souls and shipwrecked their salvation. It is quite disheartening!
Are you entangled in the affairs of this world? Are you a carrier of the possessions of the prince of this world, such as anger, bitterness, malice, unforgiveness, and other works of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21? You cannot carry his property and overcome him. You must get rid of all these and take your position in Christ (1 John 4:4).
Beloved, you can overcome the prince of this world as Jesus Christ did. Here are some steps you should take:
- Recognise his existence – 1 Peter 5:8
- Put on spiritual armour – Ephesians 6:10-18
- Resist him – James 4:7
- Submit to God – James 4:6-7
- Walk in the light – 1 John 1:7
- Pray and intercede – Ephesians 6:18-20
- Seek support of the brethren – Hebrews 12:2
- Fix your eyes on Jesus – Hebrews 12:2
- Practise spiritual disciplines like regular prayer, fasting, and meditation on the word of God
- Stand firm in the faith – 1 John 5:4-5
I pray that you will experience victory over Satan and his antics. You shall also finish well and strong, in Jesus’ name.
MFM DEVOTIONAL PRAYER POINTS:

1. I surrender myself to the deliverance fire of the Almighty, in the name of Jesus.
2. Anything in my life that the prince of this world identifies as his property, be consumed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. O God, help me to live in holiness and righteousness within and without all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Every power from my foundation, sponsoring filthiness in my life, your time is up, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Any door that is open to the devil to invade my life, I shut you now, in the name of Jesus.
6. I command the agenda of the prince of this world for me and my family to scatter, in the name of Jesus.
7. I fix my eyes on Jesus and declare my victory over Satan and his cohorts, in the name of Jesus.
