FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 2:9-16
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 16TH NOVEMBER 2024 – MESSAGE
The mind of Christ is the very mind of God. It functions in the very capacity of God. The way God sees, reasons, understands and interprets circumstances is the very function of His mind. In Genesis 1, there was decadence in the world, as it was filled with darkness, without any form and void of any progress, but the capacity of God’s mind did not see darkness. God saw light and, because that was what He saw, out of the abundance of His heart, He spoke light into the darkness.
The mind of God does not walk by sight, it walks by faith. You see your situation and call it light. Though you see darkness around, refuse to call it as it is; call it what you want it to be. The mind of God is the mind of Christ because He is the Son. Every child of God will have the mind of God. Therefore, since Jesus is the first begotten of the Father, He has the mind of God. Similarly, because Jesus, according to Hebrews 2:10, has raised many sons including you and me unto glory by His death on the cross, we also have the mind of Christ.
This was the light Apostle Paul saw when he wrote in 1 Corinthians 2:16, “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” That mind is the mind of our Father. The same distinguished Apostle Paul wrote earlier in the same chapter that no eye has ever seen nor any ear ever heard, neither has it entered into the heart of any man, the things which God has prepared for those who love him. He also boasted that God has revealed those things unto us by the Spirit. Therefore, the capacity of your mind, just like Paul’s, can assimilate the information from God’s mind.
Jesus demonstrated the mind of God when He fed the five thousand in Mark 6:35-36. After the disciples told him they had just five loaves of bread and two fishes, He took the five loaves and two fishes, looked up to heaven to embrace God’s mind for a blessing that surpasses all human understanding. Such is the mind of Christ.
TODAY’S PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. O Lord my Father, open my eyes to function in the capacity of Christ, in the name of Jesus.
2. My Father, fill my mind with Heaven’s breath, in the name of Jesus name.
3. I receive grace to function in the capacity of God in trying times, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. I declare that I shall not be disadvantaged in life, in the name of Jesus.
5. The blood of Jesus fortifies my mind, in the name of Jesus.
6. The blood of Jesus restores all my mental and emotional losses, in the name of Jesus.
7. I receive the mind of Christ, in the name of Jesus.
