If you are feeling guilty about something you’ve done wrong, let today’s scriptures sink deep into your soul. God is merciful, and He forgives us even though we don’t deserve to be forgiven. I love the statement that God remembers that we are “but flesh.” He knows we have weaknesses, and He understands them. Of course, He expects us to admit and repent of our sins, and when we do, He extends His mercy. Receive mercy and forgiveness right now if you need it.
God loves you at this very moment, no matter who you are or what you have done. He may not like everything you do, but He never stops loving you. Let God’s love heal your brokenness. Receive it freely as a gift and be thankful for it. One way you can show your gratitude is to extend to others the same mercy and forgiveness God gives to you.
Prayer of the Day: Father, thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness. Help me also to be merciful and quick to forgive.
