TOPIC: God’s Timing Is Perfect
I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase and the trees of the field yield their fruit.
— Leviticus 26:4 (AMPC)
In today’s verse, God promises to send rain “in due season.” We can learn a lot about managing certain emotions from this idea of “due season.” It means that God has a specific time when He will meet our needs or release the blessings He has for us. His timing is not always our timing, and He doesn’t always do things for us when we think He should. But He knows infinitely more than we do, and His timing is perfect.

When we understand that God has a due season for all things, we can effectively deal with emotions such as fear, frustration, and worry. We can relax, be patient, and trust Him to do exactly what we need Him to do when the time is right. We don’t have to try to force anything to happen. We can just rest in God until it does.
Every person who walks with God has the opportunity and responsibility to surrender their will to His will, His purposes, and His plan. And God’s timing is part of His will. Often, the unfolding of God’s will takes time—sometimes much longer than we would like—and we must go through seasons of waiting.
Waiting is easier to endure when we make several good decisions about it. First, we choose to believe God’s timing is perfect. Second, we determine to maintain a high level of faith and trust in Him. Third, we use our waiting time to serve Him and to do good to other people to the best of our ability. If you’re waiting on something today, be encouraged. God will send it in due season.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Thank You, God, for Your perfect timing in my life. Please fuel my faith and help me to wait well.
