Joni And Friends Devotional October 30th, 2023 Message
Joni and Friends Devotional October 30, 2023 Monday Message. As you study today’s devotional, remember this; “Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 (NLT)
TOPIC: Drink the Living Water
Most days, I drink about 3-4 liters of water. That’s nearly a gallon of water, and you might wonder why I drink so much. Well, as a quadriplegic, I’ve got to stay hydrated. I can’t exercise the way most people do in order to flush toxins out of the body, and so, the next best thing is to flush my system by guzzling lots of water.
And friend, it’s not much different when it comes to my spiritual health. I stay hydrated with the living water — Jesus! John chapter 4 says that if I drink from him, I will always be satisfied, finding contentment. And I can’t think of a better way to flush toxins out of my wandering heart than to keep my spirit “filtered” with God’s Word. So, join me in drinking up; only Jesus Christ can quench our thirst!
