Scripture: Acts 1:11
Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven
Since the day that Jesus ascended, disappearing in the clouds over Jerusalem, the eyes of believers have scoured the sky. Could this be the day that Jesus Christ returns in glory? Even though the world and the church – even Jesus Himself – do not know the day or the hour when He will return, we can be assured, now more than ever before, that Jesus is coming soon.
When He comes, may He find you faithful.
When He comes, may He find you working in the fields to bring souls to salvation.
When He comes, may He find you shining His light and His love.
When He comes, may He find you serving one another with gladness.
Until He comes, child of God, put on the whole armor of God. Stand for right in the day of evil. Tear down anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. When the world takes to the streets, may we take to our knees until God heals our land. When the world clamors for their rights, may we take up our crosses to follow Christ with all our hearts until the day of His return.
May our eyes never cease to search the skies until the day our faith becomes sight.
John Hagee Daily Devotional 3 April 2021 Blessing:
Heavenly Father, we long to be faithful to You and to Your Word. Embolden us to reach out to the lost. Fill us with Your light to illuminate, with Your love to heal, with Your joy to bring gladness, and with Your hope to endure to salvation. We yearn for the day when we finally see You face to face in Your eternal kingdom. In the name of Jesus…amen.
