Joel Osteen Daily Devotional (February 21, 2025) TOPIC: At His Feet
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
But she came and, kneeling, worshiped Him and kept praying, Lord, help me!
Matthew 15:25, AMPC
TODAY’S WORD
In Matthew 15, a Canaanite woman came up to Jesus and cried out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me. My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” But the Canaanites worshiped idols rather than Jehovah, and Jesus didn’t answer her. When she persisted, He told her that He was only sent to help the Israelites. She didn’t qualify.

But when she said, “Son of David,” she was saying, “I know You’re the Messiah for the people of Israel. I know I’m outside the family and have no rights, but I’m asking You to make an exception for me.” Then she fell down at His feet and started worshipping and praising Him. Her praise drew Him in, her great faith overcame, and He healed her daughter.
You may have a dozen reasons why you feel you don’t deserve God’s goodness. But no one deserves His goodness for any reason. Just go to God in praise, thanking Him for His grace, bragging on His greatness, and He will do what you know you don’t deserve. Turn up your praise and watch Him show out His goodness.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You that just as You healed this Canaanite woman’s daughter, You can do the impossible in my life. Thank You that I can bring the fullness of my praise to You. Help me be bold to ask You for the big things only You can make happen and to release my faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
