TODAY’S WORD
Saul was the greatest enemy of the early church. You wouldn’t think God would have anything to do with someone who was so against Jesus. But as Saul was traveling to Damascus to arrest believers, he was struck down to the ground by a blinding light from heaven and a voice saying, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” In that one destiny moment, Saul’s life was forever changed, and he became the apostle Paul, the greatest asset of the church. He wrote nearly half the books in the New Testament. God said he was “a chosen vessel” to take the gospel to the Gentiles, and that’s what he did.
The enemy would love to keep you condemned, feeling unworthy, as though you don’t belong, you don’t measure up. Don’t ever discount yourself. The mercy of God is bigger than any mistake you’ve made. God is saying, “You’re a chosen vessel.” Your mistakes didn’t cancel your destiny. God doesn’t consult your past to determine your future. People look at what you are, but God sees what you can become. Be a Paul.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for never writing me off when I’ve been off course and failed. Thank You that You even saw a chosen instrument in Saul when he was persecuting the church. Help me to see that You have also chosen me for a great purpose and a great future. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
