Today’s Word
You may have thought that if you didn’t want anything to do with God, He’d say, “Fine. I’ll blow you off, too. See if I ever help you.” God is not like that. He’s as close as the breath you breathe. All you have to do is call out, to draw close to Him, and He’s right there. He’s not holding the past against you. He’s not upset because you ignored Him. He’s not turned off because you didn’t believe in Him.
He waited when you were off course. He waited when you had a bad attitude. He waited when you failed, when you were addicted, when you were compromising. He showed you mercy. He picked you up when you fell. He protected you when you chose the wrong friends. He stopped the accident that could have taken you out. He waited when you were upset because He didn’t answer your prayer. He’s waiting for you now. His arms are opened wide.
Why don’t you draw close to Him now. He’s promised to draw close to you.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for who You are, so compassionate and merciful. Thank You that You are not holding my past against me. Thank You that I am forgiven. Thank You that I’m redeemed because of what Jesus did on the cross. I am drawing close to You right now and believing You are drawing close to me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
