Today’s Scripture
This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience—it looks for a way of being constructive. – 1 Corinthians 13:4, PHILLIPS
Today’s Word
The apostle Paul says that love looks for ways to help improve somebody else’s life. God puts people in our lives so we can help them succeed and become all He created them to be. Most people will not reach their full potential without somebody else believing in them. You have something to offer that nobody else can give. Somebody needs your encouragement.
Somebody needs to know that you believe in him, that you’re for him, that you think he has what it takes to succeed. We should be encouraging people, building them up, challenging them to reach for new levels. Take time to be a difference maker. Think about how you can make somebody else’s life better today.
Our attitude should be: Who can I encourage and cheer on today? Who can I build up? Who can I help become successful? How can I improve somebody else’s life? God is counting on you to bring out the best in your spouse, in your children, and in your friends and your coworkers. There’s no greater investment in life than in being a people builder.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for all the people who have encouraged me and believed the best about me. Help me to use my words to encourage and speak life and blessing into the people around me. Help me to be constructive and help others succeed and reach new levels. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
