TODAY’S WORD
Jesus was hanging on the cross. His haters had finally found a way to get rid of Him. When He took His last breath, it looked as though He was done. But the truth is, He was not defeated. He would have never gone to the cross unless it was all a part of God’s plan, a necessary ending.
When the soldiers came to arrest Jesus in the garden, He said to His disciples, “I could ask My Father for thousands of angels, and He would send them instantly.” He was saying, “They think they’re in control, but My Father is in control. They can’t take My life. I’m laying it down.”
Without that ending, we wouldn’t have salvation. His life in His physical body ceased, but only so He could rise again and come back with a glorified body, with all power, with the keys of death and hell.
Remember that when it looks like a setback, God is setting you up to do something more than you can ask or imagine. When it’s a necessary ending, God is up to something big.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You that the blood of Your Son Jesus has canceled the record of my sins that stood against me. Thank You that every force of the enemy was broken when Jesus rose from the dead and took the keys of death and hell from him. I believe and declare that I am free by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
