TODAY’S WORD
For a full year, Noah, his family, and two of every kind of animal were cooped up in the ark while the great flood wiped from the face of the earth every living creature God had made. When Noah finally opened the door to dry ground, what was the first thing he did? Have a big party or go for a long walk? Of all the things he could have done and needed to do, the first thing he did was build an altar to thank God for sparing their lives. When God heard Noah giving Him praise, He promised He would never flood the earth again. God help us to be like Noah.
When we see His favor, when He gives us the victory, brings us through tough times, may the first thing we do be to build an altar. Let us recognize His goodness and mercy. When you build that altar of thankfulness and praise, God will say that you never have to go through that again. He will put an end to what’s hindered you. Get in a habit of building altars.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for the victories You’ve helped me win, for the restoration and the favor. Help me to build some altars and remember the doors You’ve opened for me and for the times You’ve protected, promoted, and given me opportunities. I give You praise for Your goodness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
