Topic: How to Stay Sexually Pure in Mind and Body
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. – 1 Corinthians 6:18-20
I remember one day when I was 11 years old that I was riding my bicycle in a wooded area not far from our house. I came across some pictures lying on the ground, so I pulled over and picked one up. I was shocked at what I saw. It was my first time to ever see pornography.
That was fifty years ago. And today, more than ever, our children are susceptible to being exposed to images which pollute their minds and create in them a perverted view of human sexuality. It’s an absolute travesty what our children are exposed to today; many of them at an extremely early age.
Pornography is not harmless. That’s because what we put in our minds will ultimately work its way out. And with so much access to pornography today, people are sowing perverted ideas of sexuality in their minds and are reaping the consequences of dysfunctional sexual relationships with their spouses, infidelity, and even rape.
As believers, we have to protect ourselves and our families from the plague of porn. We have to do everything it takes to keep it out of the hands of our children. We have to put accountability structures in place for ourselves to keep it away from us. Flee from the sexual immorality of pornography and keep your mind and your body sexually pure!
PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR KIDS FROM THE PLAGUE OF PORN AND STAY SEXUALLY PURE IN YOUR MIND AND BODY.
