In Touch Daily Devotions 9 January 2022 Message

What do you do when you are facing a decision? Do you approach it logically or simply go with what feels right in the moment? Many of us react and “go with our head desires.” This approach is not always wrong. You must be sure your let by the right principles and teachings and all that provide solid answers from the Scriptures. Every page of the Bible is filled with principles that the Lord wants us to live daily (Psalm 119, chapter 97-104).

In the Book of James we read, “If any of you lack wisdom ask God, who gives to all generously and without reproach and it will be given…” James 1:5). This year make time to prayerfully study The Word of God and listen to what The Holy Spirit is teaching you. Then, when a decision is needed you will know the best course to take. From the top of your mind know you are in accordance and behaving with appropriate Godly direction.

Think about it

  • Are you making time to study Scripture daily? If not, begin with something manageable. Try five to 10 minutes a day and go from there. Put Bible reading on every calendar day and integrate it into your routine. This repeat “decision” will result in a real, positive difference in your life.
