TOPIC: A Definite Vow
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands? – Ecclesiastes 5:5-6

I have never been one to encourage pledges in my ministry because of this very scripture. The Bible here says it is better not to vow. Don’t say you will give a seed if that same vow might be broken. Remember, your words produce sound. And that sound can be short-circuited because you changed what you set out to do.
What happens to God when He realises your sound wave has not been completed?
It says in today’s scripture, “Wherefore should God be angry at thy VOICE at thy SOUND
and destroy the work of thine hands?” Do you see how bad that is? You vowed your own vow, then turned around to say you have no money to fulfil it. Yet God doesn’t “understand” that either. The angels go back behind you and destroy the things you built based on sound. You are destroying pathways, byways, and highways that you created for angels to travel for you. When you give a vow, you create highways angels can use to deliver your desires. Don’t jeopardise your miracle by reversing what you promised God. The Word says that you should let your yes be a yes and your no be a no. Put a premium on your words in this year of Wonders Without Number.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I speak only truth and vow what is true. I shall never destroy the worlds and aeons I have created by my voice! Thank you, Lord, for empowering my life to be a Kingdom financier this year, in Jesus’ Name!
