TOPIC:Â Love Marinade
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
And hope maketh not ashamed; be- cause the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. – Romans 5:5
Love is not a commandment for the Christian. Our hearts are marinated in love. That means we are thoroughly soaked, saturated in the love of God. When you marinate meat, it makes it tender and intensifies the flavour. It also locks in moisture so that the meat won’t dry out and toughen up. That is exactly what the love of God does for you. It brings out the flavour – the essence – of God in you. His love in you makes your heart tender, forgiving, and compassionate towards others. No matter the offence or mistreatment, His love prevents you from becoming hard-hearted. Hallelujah!
The nicest thing about your heart being marinated in love is you don’t have to do anything to cause it to happen. It happens to you. God has poured out His love in your heart in abundance. That is why you do not need to be told to love any more than you need to be told to breathe. It is your nature to love because you are born of God, and God is love. Walk in the light of this reality in this year of wonders without number!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
God’s love is perfected in me. The love of God in me breaks down anything that tries to break me down. Bitterness is banished, and I live free of fear. My life is a testimony of His love, and His love is revealed through me.
