GoodNews Daily Devotional 21 March 2022 MESSAGE
Emotions are not meant to rule you. Too many times Christians get in trouble because they are moved by their feelings. This is a recipe for disaster. You will keep failing the same test until you learn longsuffering. You were created with the same will power that God has. There are no excuses for you to be a hot head and tell people a thing or two. This is an error. Things do happen that catch us off guard and that usually causes an emotional reaction, but you must quickly take care of the root. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:26, “Be ye angry, and sin not”. God knows that you need to grow into longsuffering but even in anger you should not say things that you will regret.
On the cross Jesus did not lose His cool. If there was any time to do it, the cross should have been that place. But where would you be if He did? Thank God that He didn’t let His emotions change the plan. He was focused on the plan of salvation so He couldn’t throw in the towel, Hallelujah! Therefore, you must follow His example. Regardless of what the enemy throws at you, remain calm and never let him see you sweat.
You can have a life without any negativity, arguments or conflict. Don’t let people pull you out of God’s character. Nothing good will ever come out of lacking self-control. Monitor your attitude and if work is needed, allow the Word to correct it.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I will not let feelings run my life. I am a mature Christian. My behaviour is pleasing to God. Thank You Jesus for Your longsuffering.
