BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken… Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” – Psalm 62:5–8

There is a kind of peace that comes not from changed circumstances, but from a settled heart. A heart that has learned to be still, to wait, and to rest in God alone.

In Psalm 62, David speaks to his own soul: “Wait in silence for God only.” This is not passive silence, but a quiet confidence. It is choosing to trust God without striving, without panic, and without placing hope in anything else.

So often, we look for security in many places—people, plans, resources—but David reminds us that God alone is our rock, our salvation, and our stronghold. Everything else may shift, but God remains steady.

When we truly believe this, something changes within us. Fear begins to fade. Anxiety loses its grip. We become anchored, not in what we see, but in who God is.

And then comes a beautiful invitation: “Pour out your heart before Him.”

God is not distant. He welcomes your thoughts, your fears, your frustrations, and your hopes. You don’t have to hide anything. You can come to Him honestly and fully, knowing that He is your refuge.

Trusting God at all times does not mean we have no questions—it means we bring everything to Him and choose to rely on Him through it all.

So today, take a moment to quiet your heart. Lay down your worries. Stop striving for control. And rest in the truth that God alone is your refuge.

Lord God, I come before You today and choose to quiet my soul. In the midst of noise, worry, and uncertainty, help me to rest in You alone.

You are my rock, my salvation, and my stronghold. Teach me to trust You at all times and not to rely on anything else for my security.

Lord, I pour out my heart before You—my fears, my concerns, and my hopes. Thank You for being my refuge and for welcoming me just as I am.

Help me to stand firm, knowing that I will not be shaken because my hope is in You.
