BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.” – John 6:63
Jesus reminds us in John 6:63 that true life does not come from human strength, earthly success, or outward appearance—it comes from the Spirit of God.
The flesh is limited.
Human effort alone cannot satisfy the deepest needs of the soul. No amount of achievement, possessions, or worldly wisdom can give the eternal life, peace, and transformation that only God provides.
That is why Jesus said, “The Spirit gives life.”
God’s Spirit brings renewal where there is emptiness, strength where there is weakness, and hope where there is despair. The Holy Spirit awakens the heart and empowers believers to live according to God’s will.
Jesus also said, “The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.”
God’s Word is alive.
It is not ordinary speech or empty instruction. His Word carries power to heal, encourage, correct, strengthen, and transform lives. When you receive His Word with faith, it brings spiritual life into every area of your heart.
His Word gives wisdom in confusion.
It gives peace in troubled times.
It gives strength when you feel weak.
Many people try to fill their hearts with things that cannot truly sustain them. But only the Spirit and the Word of God can bring lasting life to the soul.
That is why spending time in God’s presence and meditating on His Word is so important. The more His truth fills you, the more your life is shaped by His Spirit.
So today, hunger for the life that only God can give. Open your heart to His Word and allow His Spirit to refresh and strengthen you.
Because where God’s Spirit is at work, true life begins to flourish.
Let’s Pray:
Lord God, thank You for the life that comes through Your Spirit and Your Word. Thank You because Your truth brings strength, peace, and renewal to my soul.
Fill my heart with Your Spirit daily. Remove every emptiness, fear, and weakness, and replace them with Your life and power.
Lord, help me to treasure Your Word and meditate on it continually. Let Your truth guide my thoughts, shape my decisions, and strengthen my faith.
Teach me not to depend on human strength alone, but to rely fully on You.
Thank You because Your Word is alive and Your Spirit is always at work within me.
