TOPIC: “Obey My Voice And Walk In All My Ways”
TEXT: Jeremiah 7: 21-34(NKJV)
STUDY: Our passage of discourse shows the Lord of Hosts was really still angry with His people who were busy doing every other thing except what God commanded them. He therefore, would not accept even their burnt offerings because they were in error (vv. 21-22.). God speaks daily and every time.
His voice is heard through His word the Bible, through our conscience, through circumstances, etc. He gives us instructions on how to live daily in order for him to be our God. Do you hear His voice?
Whenever the Lord issues a command, it is usually for our own good, that it may go well with us (v.23). The issue is whether we hear His voice and are ready to obey Him? Do we walk in all the ways that He has commanded us or are we still following the counsels and dictates of evil men/women, bad friends, society, etc.?
It is in obeying God’s voice and walking in all His ways that He will be our God and it will be well with us (Deut. 28:1-2), otherwise, destruction will follow (Deut. 28:15). The choice is ours.
PRAYER: Prayer: Teach me Lord to hear Your voice and walk in all the ways you command, in Jesus name. Amen.
