Scripture: Acts 2:22-23
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea … God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.” (Psalm 46:1,5)
Outline: The resurrection of Jesus has continued to occur in our readings for some days now. This underscores its position to our faith. The controversy over Christ’s resurrection still lingered in the hearts of some Jews. In today’s text, Peter, by the leading of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, cleared the air before the crowd that gathered.
Verses 22-23 show that Jesus was approved by God and worked miracles, signs and wonders which the people saw, received and testified about. Secondly, His death on the cross was God’s will for Him and predicted by David in (Ps.16:10),so the Jewish leaders and Pilate were just fulfilling a prophecy. The truth and facts about Peter’sspeech are that: Jesus rose from the dead and is alive The tomb is empty Jesus rose, appeared to his disciples who saw and touched him Death could not hold him, neither could the grave His body did not experience decay.

Any teaching/belief that attacks the above truths destroys our faith, power and hope of resurrection. Paul in Phil.3:10, says: “that I may know him and the power of his resurrection.” Every believer must desire this knowledge.
Prayer: That I May know You and the power of Your resurrection O! Lord.
