Daily Devotional for Today – November 6, 2025 Reflection:
This verse concludes the parable of the ten virgins, a story about readiness and spiritual alertness. Five were wise — they kept their lamps filled with oil. The other five were foolish — they allowed their lamps to go out.
Jesus’ message is clear: His coming will be sudden, and there will be no time to prepare when the moment arrives. The “oil” represents the presence and power of the Holy Spirit — the sustaining grace that keeps our faith burning brightly in a dark world.
To keep watch means to stay spiritually awake — guarding your heart, nurturing your relationship with God, and living daily in obedience and holiness.
The wise are those who live ready, whose hearts are full of oil, whose lamps never go dim, and whose eyes are fixed on the Bridegroom.
Beloved, the time is near. Don’t just look for His coming — live prepared for it.

Lord Jesus, help me to remain watchful and ready for Your return. Fill my heart with the oil of Your Spirit. Strengthen my faith, purify my motives, and let my life be a light that shines until You come again. Amen.
